浅析不同文化背景下的留学生管理——以兰州某高校为例

随着世界的快速发展,中国已经成为让全球都开始关注的国家。在今后的若干年中,中国的改革开放势必会不断深入,中国已然迈出走向世界的步伐。因此,跨文化交流会日趋频繁,其主要体现之一就是来华留学生数量的激增。探讨不同文化背景下的留学生管理,有利于发现在管理中存在的新问题和面临的挑战,帮助留学生尽快适应中国文化的方法,使他们能够在中国快乐地学习,同时能够为留学生管理者提供一些建议,使管理工作更有效。     

英汉习语的文化差异及翻译

分析了英汉习语文化差异的主要根源。中英历史形成的文化意识差异,表现在习语上因生存方式的不同、风俗习惯不同、宗教信仰不同等所表达的意义存在着明显的差异。只有在了解和掌握两个民族各不相同的文化渊源的基础上,才能顺利进行习语的翻译。     

Planning for Cruise Ship Resilience: An Approach to Managing Cruise Ship Impacts in Haines,Alaska

Resilience theory has management implications useful when planning for cruise ship tourism. In small coastal communities, cruise ships often provide welcomed economic incentives that can bolster a waning economy. However, in some coastal communities, the magnitude and intensity of passenger visits can reduce social resilience and induce an economic regime shift that leads to rapid socioeconomic reorganization. The implications of such a regime shift are a loss of economic diversity, reduced social resilience, and a loss of social capital. Planning for cruise ship resilience increases the likelihood of successful coping strategies and addresses the socioecological changes inherent to a cruise ship destination. Both Holling's adaptive cycle and the four principals for building resilience established by Berkes and Seixas are fundamental to a successful management plan.     

The response of the legal system to technological innovation in aquaculture: A comparative study of mariculture legislation in California,Florida and Maine

This article examines salt‐water aquaculture (mariculture) legislation in California, Florida, and Maine, as illustrative of one generic response of the law to aquacultural innovation. Unlike aquacultural legislation in other states, generally drafted to restrict leasing of coastal waters for specific existing technologies, the legislation studied represents a more flexible approach which would accommodate new technologies. Analysis of specific provisions of the three laws indicates the complexity of the issues involved and a variety of mechanisms selected for regulating mariculture, and identifies different state priorities and goals. This report concludes that whereas broadly drafted legislation exemplified by the statutes under study is more likely to accommodate new mariculture technologies than piecemeal legislation, there are a number of complex issues that must be identified and resolved in order to achieve the desired results. The failure of each of the states to respond fully to the broad range of issues involved may inhibit aquacultural innovation or unduly restrict nonaquacultural uses of the coastal zone.     

Marine Stingers: Review of an Under-Recognized Global Coastal Management Issue

Dangerous marine stingers (jellyfish) are an emotive issue in tropical Australia, where they are widely regarded as the number one marine health threat. However, numerous severe and fatal stings have been reported throughout the tropical and temperate seas of the world, indicating that marine stingers are a global health problem. Further, life-threatening jellyfish stings are more frequently reported globally now compared to earlier decades, possibly as a result of improved recognition and reporting, or increased spatial and/or temporal distribution or densities. As stinging incidents may also have significant financial implications (lost tourism revenues and liability settlements), and the treatment of envenomed patients comes at high cost to the taxpayer, this issue is also a management challenge. This article outlines suggested approaches, based largely on Australian experience, for dealing with this under-recognized global coastal management issue.

通过课题研究与深圳华侨城欢乐干线旅游列车造型设计项目实践,总结了高架单轨旅游列车造型设计及计算机辅助设计应用的3条基本规律,并指出计算机辅助造型设计是提高国内轨道交通工具造型设计水平、打造强势品牌、推进电子商务的重要手段和必要条件。

本文针对语言学发展的历史经验,阐述了外语交际能力培养的深远意义和以外语交际能力为理论基础的重要性;探讨了母语水平对培养外语交际能力的影响;分析了当前推行的外语交际教学法的理论基础及其优缺点,并提出了培养外语交际能力有效途径所必须遵循的重要原则。     

构建新型高职旅游专业育人模式势在必行

高等职业旅游教育的发展方向,应以市场为导向,建立起一套符合职业教育特点的新型育人模式,必须建立科学的实践教育体系、完善的职业养成体系和"校、企、政"一体化的培养模式。     

文化中的翻译与翻译中的文化

西方翻译研究的“文化转向”和篇章语言学的发展，使 我们对有着跨文化和跨学科特征的翻译活动本身有了更深刻的认识，即翻译不仅是把源语转换成目的语的过程，更是两种不同文化的相互沟通和转移，其本身就是一种文化传播和交流的媒介，是一种跨文化行为，本文从文化哲学的角度分析翻译和文化的关系，提出了“文化中的翻译”，“翻译中的文化”，“文化翻译”，“翻译文化”等不同概念，对其意义进行了界定，并对相关问题进行了必要的梳理和诠释。认为翻译活动受源语文化和译入语文化的双重制约，只有将语篇置于更为广阔的文化语境之下，才能抓住问题的实质，解决翻译中的难题。     

地铁矿山法浅埋暗挖隧道穿越文保建筑的爆破设计

结合地铁矿山法隧道在浅埋暗挖条件下,采用控制爆破技术穿越青岛八大关文保建筑的工程实例,简要介绍爆破工程中的设计、爆破参数选取、单段最大装药量与爆破震速的关系分析确定等。所采取的爆破设计使老城区文保建筑沉降、倾斜及爆破震速等3个控制指标均满足规范要求,有效保证了老城区文保建筑的安全。
